<blockquote><p>The PFDebate.com National Public Forum Challenge III already has some highly qualified applicants, including last year’s NCFL Grand Champions. However, I have received a number of emails indicating that there has apparently been significant confusion about the deadline for the PFDebate.com National Public Forum Challenge III. In order to accommodate teams who thought the deadline was next week, I am going to extend the regular application period deadline to next Friday, November 20, 2009.</p></blockquote>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>PFDebate.com is pleased to announce that we will once again be sponsoring the <a title="National Public Forum Challenge" href="http://www.lairdlewis.org/pfchallenge.htm">National Public Forum Challenge</a>.</p>
<p>The National Public Forum Challenge III will use a challenge format and only 16 teams will be accepted. Finalists will share $1500 in scholarship money.</p>
<p>The National will be held at Myers Park High School in Charlotte, NC on Sunday, January 10, 2010. The National is held the same weekend as Myers Park’s <a title="Laird Lewis Invitational" href="http://www.lairdlewis.org">Laird Lewis Invitational</a> which will be a Tournament of Champions (TOC) octafinal bid tournament.</p>

In the 10th and final round of the day, Robert Kindman &amp; Josh Zoffer from Durham Academy (NC) defeated Harrison Grussmark &amp; Austin Criden from Ransom Everglades (FL) on a 5–4 decision to claim the championship.</p>
<p>Kindman &amp; Zoffer also won The Laird Lewis Invitational, also hosted by Myers Park, which took place on Friday &amp; Saturday.</p>
