The season is ramping up. At least next weekend is a three-day weekend.
I have been busy with the September topic, processing orders for Crossfire Briefs subscriptions, and participating in conference calls while I put the finishing touches on a few things that I hope to roll out this week. As a result, the blog has been neglected lately. Here is a quick roundup of what is happening in the debate world:
Release 2 of the September 2010 issue of Crossfire Briefs has been distributed. Release 3 will be distributed on Thursday, September 2.
The October 2010 Public Forum Debate topic will be announced on Wednesday, September 1.
Version 3.0 of Whitman’s Paperless Debate Template has been released. Several new features have been added. While computers are not (yet) used in Public Forum Debate rounds, I’m certain that there are Public Forum debaters that use templates to format briefs.
Wisenheimer author Mark Oppenheimer and former NDT champion and current University of Pennsylvania Assistant Professor of Political Science Michael Horowitz have been having an interesting bit of metadebate over at Slate.
