Jan 7-8, 2011 – Laird Lewis @ Myers Park = Octafinal TOC Bid! No better PFD choice for that weekend!
Harker will be there Jason. Getting our PF Challenge apps together!
I am excited about the diversity of states on this list. Just to let folks know, if you have a tournament you want considered in 2011-2012, make sure you submit your bid application to Andrea Reed who is the new Director of Debate at UK before this year’s TOC.
still not enough options for Washington debaters on a tight budget…
Accomplice:
1. No Washington tournaments have applied ever. The committee recommended Whitman because we wanted a tournament in the region. Encourage tournaments to apply to be considered. And if you earn a bid at Whitman and do well at lots of other regional tournaments, you should apply for an at-large and show how awesome you have done and how you made every attempt you could to attend bid tournaments.
2. Come to Harker. We work with teams on budgets to make the tournament affordable including housing students, providing meals all weekend, and waiving fees for the first PF entry from every out of state school that attends. I just bought a plane ticket to Seattle for later this month for a reasonable price, so if you buy tickets in advance, it is relatively inexpensive. Talk to other tournaments as well. Many will work with teams to help make attendance affordable.
Does anyone know when the Princeton tournament takes place?
Also, how does one sign up?
Thanks
