Final Two 2010-11 CX Topics Announced

The CX topic bal­lot for 2010-11 has been nar­rowed to two choices:

China
Resolved: The United States fed­eral gov­ern­ment should sub­stan­tially increase its eco­nomic engage­ment with the People’s Repub­lic of China on one or more of the fol­low­ing issues: trade, econ­omy, environment.

Mil­i­tary Deploy­ment
Resolved: The United States fed­eral gov­ern­ment should sub­stan­tially reduce its mil­i­tary and/or police pres­ence in one or more of the fol­low­ing: South Korea, Japan, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Iraq, Turkey.

The 2010-11 topic will be announced on Jan­u­ary 8, 2010. Because of the NFL’s involve­ment with The Peo­ple Speak (TPS) and the Inter­na­tional Pub­lic Pol­icy Forum (IPPF), it is almost a cer­tainty the the Pub­lic Forum Debate topic for Sep­tem­ber, Octo­ber, or Novem­ber will over­lap with the CX topic that is selected.
