The new PFDebate Forums are live. The forums saw a massive traffic increase last season and with new users came demands for more features. We have moved from bbPress, which is barebones forum software that is easy to administer to vBulletin which has oodles of features and an old school administrative interface. Please bear with me as I get up to speed on the new software.
Content and user accounts from the old forums were not transferred to the new forums because a bbPress to vBulletin converter has not been written.
The PFDebate Forums still need to be customized with the PFDebate header, footer, etc. Don’t be surprised if there is some wonkiness or downtime in the next few days while the developer tweaks the skin.
You may have noticed that the PFDebate Wiki has moved from being hosted by Wetpaint to a locally hosted MediaWiki wiki. I still have some content to add from the old wiki and organize the content on the main page. The developer will also be tweaking the wiki skin in the next few days.
I am open to suggestions on ways to expand or improve the PFDebate website. Open source solutions are preferred if they meet the need, but I am willing to purchase or license commercial software (like vBulletin) when your demand for functionality and my need for security dictate.
