There were 197 teams in the first ever PFD tournament at NCFL Grand Nationals. There were five prelim rounds with three-judge panels. To break, teams had to have at least 4 wins with at least 11 ballots (though some 11 ballots did not break). They broke from 197 to 32! Needless to say, it was tough!!

I am sure they will post more details later on http://www.ncfl.org but the top four were…

3rd — Cissy Huang and Nathan Richardson, Shrewsbury HS
3rd — Troy Baker and Zach Alluan, Buchholz HS
Finals: 4 – 1 Decision
2nd — Will Beshears and Evan Lee, Monsignor Kelly Catholic HS
1st — Dennis Howe and Rob Wyllie, Regis High School

Good tournament overall, although their were a lot of former policy teams that lost because they were debating in the public forum format.

2001 was Hajidiloo (spelling?) and Gray from Chantilly HS in Chantilly, Virginia from the Arlington Diocese
