by PFDebate LLC on May 10, 2007

The Public Forum Debate program at the 28th Annual Marquette University Debate Institute will be held from July 22 - July 29, 2007.

Developed to stay ahead of the trend in high school debate, the Marquette University Debate Institute Public Forum Debate program offers skill based lectures, introductory evidence work, and lots of practice debates. The program is designed to meet the needs of students either beginning or already immersed in Public Forum Debate. With a student to faculty ratio of no more than 6:1, Public Forum Debate students at MUDI benefit from the close attention of their lab leaders and a variety of other institute faculty. Students in this program will gain knowledge from both skill and topical lectures designed for the entire institute, and from guided research on timely and wide-ranging topic possibilities. Students completing this program will have learned how to develop debate skills and strategies, acquired the ability to complete basic research for the construction of arguments, and have practiced debating to a high level of competition. They will also have lots of practice debates and other skill related activities. In all, it will be a very enriching and memorable experience.

The cost for our one week Public Forum Debate program (July 22-29): $750 for residents, $600 for commuters. Online registration for the program is available.
