The December 2006 issue of The Rostrum arrived this weekend. There are two articles that caught my attention.
The first is a scholarly article by Dr. Kevin Minch titled The Value of Speech, Debate, and Theater Activities. The article outlines the educational value of forensics education by summarizing the the research in the field. The article has an impressive reference list.
The second article is by Dr. Rich Edwards and explores an issue we have mentioned recently: the use of computers in debate. In Why Computers Won’t Destroy CX Debate, Dr. Edwards outlines the benefits and debunks the myths surrounding the use of of computers in policy debate.
