New Poll Question

by PFDebate LLC on November 14, 2006

Our latest poll question has been posted:

When Public Forum teams meet for a second time at a tournament, the choice of Pro or Con should be determined by a coin toss?

If you think there should always be a coin toss, vote “Yes”. If you think they should switch sides from the previous debate, vote “No”.

Register your vote on the right side of the page.

Personally, I can’t believe that teams are not forced to switch sides when they meet for a second time at a tournament. It does not seem educationally sound.

I would bet that the second debate ends up being a rehash of the earlier debate. Bob

In my district, we are required to switch sides when meeting a team for the second time. We’re also supposed to switch positions, but occasionally we will do a coin flip to determine who is 1st and who is 2nd.
Now, our district is saying that we no longer do a coin flip for sides at all; they are predetermined. We only flip to determine who goes 1st and who goes 2nd. It sucks a lot.
